What's Happening?
In Northampton Circuit Court, a New York man, Yanjun Yin, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of failing to stop at an accident involving injury. Yin was initially indicted for felony hit-and-run after striking a sedan with his box truck. In a plea agreement,
he received a reduced sentence of six months in jail, with most of the time suspended. In a separate case, Thomasena Margie Capers pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, with a related charge of unauthorized vehicle use not prosecuted. Capers remains free on bond pending sentencing.
