Gerard Vincent 'Gerry' Curtin, a long-time resident of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on July 22, 1935, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Curtin was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and a member
of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He completed the ROTC program and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Curtin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia 'Pat' Curtin, and his children, Kathleen 'Kathy' Curtin and Tyrone 'Ty' Curtin. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Curtin will be interred at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Saint Mary Parish in Buffalo Grove.
