those of aerobic activity alone. The study, which tracked over 8,000 adults in Brisbane for nine years, revealed that individuals who consistently met recommended guidelines for both types of activities experienced a 23% reduction in cancer, a 24% reduction in hypertension, and a 50% reduction in type 2 diabetes. Behavioral epidemiologist Dr. Gregore Mielke emphasized that those who engaged in both aerobic and muscle-strengthening activities were less likely to develop these conditions and potentially had lower risks of heart disease.
