Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and its partners have received approval in principle from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for the basic design of an unmanned autonomous rocket recovery vessel. This project, developed in collaboration with Innovative Space
Carrier and TSUNEISHI SOLUTIONS TOKYOBAY, includes an offshore recovery system comprising the recovery vessel, a support vessel, and an onshore control system. The design aims to enhance offshore rocket recovery operations, providing a more efficient and potentially safer method for retrieving rockets post-launch.
