GenusPlus Group Ltd has been awarded three contracts to construct transmission lines and power facilities at Fortescue's mining sites in Western Australia. The contracts, valued at approximately A$60 million
($38.9 million), include the construction of 220 kV transmission lines, 30 km of overhead power distribution infrastructure, and fast charger and pit power facilities. These projects are part of Fortescue's broader decarbonisation strategy, aiming to achieve Real Zero terrestrial emissions by 2030. GenusPlus will deploy around 80 personnel for the project, with site access beginning in October 2025 and completion expected by the end of 2026.
