The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is organizing its annual IRENA Youth Forum in 2027, set to take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This fully funded event aims to gather young individuals aged 18-35 from across the globe who are
actively involved in renewable energy, sustainability, innovation, or related fields. The forum, scheduled for January 6-7, 2027, will provide a platform for discussions on renewable energy, climate action, innovation, and the global energy transition. Participants will have their travel expenses covered, accommodation provided, and visa support. The event will also include a closing session during the Seventeenth IRENA Assembly on January 8, followed by youth-led activities at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week from January 9-13. The theme for this year's forum is 'Youth Energising the Future: Grids, Storage and Flexibility for Renewable Energy Systems,' focusing on areas such as grid modernization, energy storage technologies, increasing renewable energy share, youth's role in energy transition financing, and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders.
