Corewell Health and Quest Diagnostics have completed a joint venture to expand laboratory services in Michigan. The new entity, Diagnostic Lab of Michigan, LLC, will be 51% owned by Quest and 49% by Corewell Health.
This partnership aims to provide innovative, quality, and affordable laboratory services across the state. Quest's Collaborative Lab Solutions (Co-Lab) will manage lab services in all 21 Corewell Health hospitals, incorporating supply chain management, lab analytics, and patient blood management. The joint venture will continue using existing labs until a new 100,000-square-foot facility opens in Southfield, Michigan, in early 2027.
