Joyce Bergvist Lynn, a resident of Naples, Florida, and Laporte, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 16, 2026. Born on August 21, 1942, in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Melvin and Eleanor Bergvist. After graduating from Clifton High School
in New Jersey, she moved to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where she worked as a legal secretary. It was there she met her husband, Peter R. Lynn, with whom she shared nearly 60 years of marriage until his passing in 2023. Together, they founded Government Retirement & Benefits, Inc., a company dedicated to assisting federal employees with retirement planning. Joyce was also known for her philanthropic efforts, particularly in education, contributing to several projects at Lycoming College. She is survived by her two sons, five grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Peter R. and Joyce B. Lynn Endowed Scholarship or the Susquehanna Health Foundation. These contributions will continue to support the causes that were important to Joyce and her family, ensuring that her legacy of philanthropy and community support endures.
