Participants were divided into two groups, with one receiving vitamin D supplements and the other a placebo, alongside their ongoing dienogest therapy. After eight weeks, the results showed no statistically significant differences in pain reduction or quality of life improvements between the two groups. The study suggests that while vitamin D has shown promise in preclinical models, its clinical efficacy as an adjunct treatment for endometriosis remains unproven.
