What's Happening?
The National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa (NCPC-SA), in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and adelphi, has initiated the Climate and Biodiversity Action through Circular Economy Solutions (CB-ACES)
project. This five-year initiative, funded by the German government through its International Climate Initiative (IKI), aims to transition South Africa towards a more resource-efficient and climate-resilient economy. The project focuses on identifying circular economy opportunities in the food and beverage, textiles, and electronics and machinery sectors. It seeks to reduce climate and biodiversity impacts by promoting sustainable production practices and enhancing capacity across these industries.
