Daimler Buses has unveiled the Mercedes-Benz eIntouro at Busworld Europe 2025, marking its entry into the battery-electric intercity bus market. The eIntouro is available in two lengths, accommodating between 50 and 63 passengers, and is built on the high-floor Intouro platform adapted for electric propulsion. It features an electric central drive unit with 320 kW continuous power and 400 kW peak power. The bus offers battery options of a single 207 kWh pack or dual packs totaling 414 kWh, utilizing lithium-iron-phosphate cell technology. The eIntouro can travel up to 500 kilometers on a single charge under optimal conditions. Daimler plans to install charging stations at tourist-intensive locations to support operations on remote routes.
