What's Happening?
Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas, in collaboration with Université Francophone d’Asie, is launching a bachelor's degree in Management and Business Administration in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, starting September 2026. This program is designed for French-speaking
students across Southeast Asia and aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality French-language higher education in the region. Supported by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, the program will offer a curriculum identical to that provided in France, ensuring international recognition. The degree will be taught by professors from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University and local lecturers, with courses delivered in both French and English.
Why It's Important?
The launch of this program is significant as it provides Southeast Asian students access to high-quality French education without the need to relocate to France. This initiative supports the region's educational growth and strengthens the francophone community's presence in Asia. By offering a curriculum that aligns with international standards, the program enhances students' career prospects in the Asian job market and opens opportunities for further studies in France. The timing of the launch coincides with the Francophonie Summit in Cambodia, adding symbolic value to the initiative.
What's Next?
As the program begins, it is expected to attract students from various francophone schools in Southeast Asia. The collaboration may lead to further educational partnerships and expansions in the region. The success of this initiative could encourage other universities to establish similar programs, fostering educational diversity and international collaboration. The program's impact on the local job market and its contribution to the region's educational landscape will be closely monitored.
