Volusia County Schools has introduced 'Ride Smart VCS,' a new safety initiative aimed at students who use e-bikes and e-scooters to commute to school. The program requires students to complete a free, self-paced online course that takes approximately
30 minutes. The course covers essential topics such as legal requirements for e-bikes, Florida laws, safe riding practices, crash prevention, and specific campus rules. Upon completion, students receive a permit sticker for their devices, ensuring they are equipped to ride safely and legally.
