What's Happening?
Allied Moulded Products, Inc. has announced the expansion of its flexBOX Vapor Seal line with new models designed to enhance energy efficiency in residential construction. The new additions, including
the P-442NV and PC234-NV models, feature a patent-pending tapered flange design that provides an air-tight seal against vapor barriers and drywall. These products meet the recent changes in the 2024 International Building Codes for Air-Tight electrical box standards, offering less than 1 CFM air loss rating. The expansion aims to support energy-saving initiatives and potentially qualify for Energy Star ratings and rebates.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of the Vapor Seal line reflects the growing demand for energy-efficient building solutions in the U.S. construction industry. As more regions adopt stricter energy-saving regulations, products like Allied Moulded's flexBOX are crucial for builders and contractors seeking to comply with these standards. The company's innovations contribute to reducing energy consumption and improving building performance, aligning with broader environmental and sustainability goals. This development also highlights the role of advanced materials and design in enhancing product functionality and market competitiveness.
