Brownsboro Hardware & Paint's annual EggFEST Food Festival has achieved a new record in fundraising, collecting $48,381. This amount represents the largest one-year increase in the event's history. The funds will be equally divided between two local food-related
charities: Kentucky Harvest and A Recipe to End Hunger, with each receiving $24,190.50. Doug Carroll, owner of Brownsboro Hardware & Paint, expressed gratitude to the community, including cooks, chefs, sponsors, and attendees, for their contributions. Heather Stewart, executive director of Kentucky Harvest, highlighted that the success reflects the community's generosity and compassion, emphasizing that every dollar raised provides four meals. Dawne Gee, founder of A Recipe to End Hunger, noted that 100 percent of the funds donated to her organization will directly support food-insecure individuals in the community.
