included data from 1,400 recent graduates, found that students who do use AI tools primarily apply them to writing cover letters, preparing for interviews, and tailoring résumés. Despite the media hype suggesting widespread use of AI among graduates, NACE CEO Shawn Van Derziel noted that the data does not support this narrative. Ethical concerns and lack of expertise are among the reasons students avoid AI tools, with 30% expressing ethical concerns and 25% lacking the expertise to use them effectively. Additionally, 16% of students worry about employers' reactions to AI-assisted applications, and 15% are concerned about personal data collection.
