What's Happening?
The U.S. Department of Energy has launched the Technology Recycling and Repurposing (T-ReX) Collegiate Competition, inviting students to develop innovative solutions for recycling and repurposing retired energy technologies. The competition, hosted by
the National Laboratory of the Rockies, aims to address the growing need to recover valuable materials from decommissioned energy infrastructure. Students will work on projects to recycle or repurpose components from wind turbines and other energy technologies, focusing on reducing waste and recovering critical minerals.
