What's Happening?
21 Savage, a Grammy Award-winning rapper, hosted his 10th annual 'Issa Back 2 School Drive' at the Wade Walker Family YMCA in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The event, organized by his foundation Leading By Example in partnership with Momma Flystyle, CGB, and
Live Nation, provided essential school supplies, backpacks, sneakers, and food to over 2,000 families. Additionally, 21 Savage expanded his financial literacy program into 10 schools in DeKalb County. This initiative, part of a long-term collaboration with the Wade Walker family, aims to educate students on financial literacy through the Bank Account Financial Literacy education program powered by Wealthy Habits. Over 800 students participated in the program during the 2025-2026 school year.
Why It's Important?
21 Savage's efforts highlight the critical role of community engagement and education in addressing socio-economic challenges. By providing school supplies and financial literacy education, the initiative supports underprivileged families and empowers students with essential life skills. The program's expansion into multiple schools demonstrates a commitment to long-term community development and education. Such initiatives can inspire other public figures and organizations to invest in similar community-driven projects, potentially leading to broader societal benefits.
