What's Happening?
Move-In Day Mafia, a nonprofit organization in metro Atlanta, is dedicated to helping foster kids transition into college life. Founded by Tee J. Mercer, the organization provides essential support by furnishing dorm rooms, offering monthly care packages,
and creating a community for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The initiative aims to ensure that students aging out of foster care do not face the challenges of starting college alone. The organization's efforts are funded through events like the HBCU Bingo Experience fundraiser, which helps sustain its operations and outreach.
