Clearway Energy Group has entered into a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) and energy storage deal with Public Utility District No. 2 (Grant PUD) of Grant County, Washington. The agreement involves the Royal Slope Energy Center, a 260-MW solar and 260-MW energy storage facility,
which is expected to be operational by the end of 2027. This project is part of Clearway's Washington portfolio, which also includes wind farms in Adams and Klickitat counties. The partnership aims to address the increasing power demands and resource adequacy requirements of Grant PUD, aligning with Washington's carbon goals.
