Scandic has announced plans to open a new Scandic Go hotel in Tromsø, Norway, as part of a long-term lease agreement with Nordlyskvartalet AS. The hotel, which will feature approximately 170 rooms, is set to open in 2028 and will be part of a mixed-use
development in central Tromsø. This will be the second Scandic Go property in Norway and the third Scandic-branded hotel in Tromsø. The new hotel will prioritize sustainability by using recycled materials and aims to achieve certification from the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, a recognized environmental certification in the Nordic countries.
