A 61-year-old resident of the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township, New Jersey, has been arrested and charged with multiple weapons offenses. The charges include possession of prohibited weapons, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and criminal
mischief. This follows reports over a six-month period of property damage caused by the suspect firing a self-defense gun in commercial parking lots along the Blackwood Clementon Road corridor. The firearm in question is believed to be a self-defense weapon that uses solid metal kinetic ball projectiles. During searches of the suspect's home and vehicle, police discovered four self-defense weapons and numerous solid metal ball projectiles. The man is currently in custody at Camden County Jail awaiting court proceedings.
