Michael Kratsios, assistant to the president for science and technology, will lead the effort. The initiative is described as comparable in urgency to the Manhattan Project, focusing on areas such as advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, and nuclear fission and fusion.

The Genesis Mission builds on existing efforts like the National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource, aiming to foster the next generation of AI breakthroughs.
