the creation of hyper-realistic replicas of identity documents, which fraudsters use to open new accounts. Deepfakes are also increasingly used in biometric fraud attempts, particularly in financial services. The report warns of the rise in injection attacks, where fake images or videos are fed directly into identity verification systems, bypassing live capture processes.
