Shipping traffic through the Bab el-Mandeb strait has significantly decreased following an attack by Yemeni Houthis on Saudi oil installations along the Red Sea coast. The attack, aimed at blockading Saudi exports, has led to the lowest level of vessel
passage in months. Eleven commodity vessels passed through the strait on Sunday, with seven being oil tankers. The disruption is part of a broader conflict involving the U.S. and Iran, affecting oil supply routes through the Strait of Hormuz as well.
