The Alliance Police Department in Ohio is seeking public assistance to identify a man involved in an attempted gun theft at a Dunham's store. Security camera footage shows the suspect entering a back office where department and miscellaneous keys are
stored. The individual then stole these keys and proceeded to unplug the security system, attempting to disable all recordings. Following this, the suspect went to the gun cabinet area and tried to use the stolen keys to access and steal firearms. However, the attempt was unsuccessful as the suspect jammed a key, preventing access to the guns. Police reported that the individual remained inside the store for approximately two to three hours before leaving. No merchandise was ultimately taken during the incident. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information to contact Ptl. Caughey at 330-821-9140 or to submit an anonymous tip through the department’s tip form.
