Christie's King Street has launched an exhibition and scholarly publication titled 'The Significance of Jade in China’s Culture, History and Art.' The event, running from October 31 to November 11, 2025, showcases 20 exceptional jade pieces from The Woolf
Collection, assembled by the late Sir John Woolf. The exhibition explores jade's role in Chinese history, focusing on its craftsmanship, spiritual symbolism, and imperial significance. The accompanying book, edited by Kate Hunt, features essays from six specialists, including Dr. Malcolm McNeill, who delivered a lecture on jade's moral and cosmological roles.
