What's Happening?
The fourth satellite of the Korea 425 Project constellation was successfully launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida. This launch marks the completion of the constellation,
which is a significant milestone for the Korean Agency for Defence and Development (ADD). Thales Alenia Space, in collaboration with Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) and Hanwha Systems Corporation (HSC), contributed to the project by providing high-performance Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology. The satellite features an innovative antenna with a large deployable reflector and an active feed array, enhancing its observation and surveillance capabilities. The Attitude and Orbit Control System, also provided by Thales Alenia Space, ensures the satellite's high agility.
