What's Happening?
Chris and Kelly’s HOPE Foundation, established in 2012 by Steve Grant, continues its mission to support adolescents and young adults struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues. The foundation was created following the accidental drug overdoses
of Grant's sons, Christopher and Kelly. It operates as a donor-advised fund through the Community Foundation of Greenville, focusing on funding treatment, recovery, and prevention programs, as well as advancing education and research.
Why It's Important?
The foundation has raised over $800,000 in the past 12 years, supporting more than 250 organizations and individuals. Its impact includes investments in adolescent brain science research, peer recovery initiatives, direct treatment assistance, and collegiate recovery programming. The foundation's efforts are crucial in providing hope and pathways to recovery for individuals and families affected by addiction, contributing to the broader fight against substance abuse in the U.S.
