The University of Mount Olive recently hosted its 11th annual AgFest, attracting over 2,000 high school students, educators, alumni, and industry partners. The event, organized by the House of Raeford Farms School of Agriculture and Biological Sciences,
aimed to connect students with opportunities in agriculture and related fields. Attendees from more than 80 high schools across North Carolina participated in hands-on learning, career exploration, and community engagement activities. The event featured a vendor fair with over 70 exhibitors from agricultural businesses, organizations, and university programs. Students engaged with professionals, collected information, and learned about career pathways in various fields such as animal science, horticulture, agribusiness, and technology. The event also included food trucks, sponsored meals, giveaways, and live entertainment, with performances by North Carolina country artists Kaylin Roberson and Christina Eagle.
