What's Happening?
The Fondation Isabelle et Luc Poirier has launched 'Que pour toi…', a digital self-care platform, to coincide with Mental Health Week from May 4 to 10, 2026. The platform aims to provide Canadians with resources to support their mental well-being, offering
virtual meetings, videos by mental health professionals, and various tools for emotional support. This initiative addresses the ongoing mental health challenges in Canada, where one in three individuals will experience mental health issues in their lifetime. The platform aligns with the foundation's mission to promote mental health and prevent violence and discrimination.
Why It's Important?
The launch of 'Que pour toi…' highlights the growing recognition of mental health as a critical public health issue. By providing accessible resources, the platform aims to reduce stigma and encourage individuals to seek help. This initiative could lead to improved mental health outcomes and reduced workplace absenteeism due to mental health concerns. The foundation's efforts contribute to building more empathetic and supportive communities, emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness and support.
