The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed that an EF-2 tornado touched down in northern Somerset County, Pennsylvania, during severe storms on July 18. The tornado, which occurred in Jenner Township, produced peak winds of 125 mph and traveled
approximately 0.72 miles with a maximum width of 100 yards. The tornado caused significant damage, uprooting multiple trees and snapping nearly every healthy hardwood tree within a quarter-mile-wide swath. The NWS's survey relied on drone imagery and assistance from local emergency management agencies to assess the damage.
