An experimental lung cancer drug, ivonescimab, developed by Akeso and Summit Therapeutics, has shown promising results in a late-stage trial conducted in China. The drug, when combined with chemotherapy, reduced the risk of death by 34% for patients with squamous
non-small-cell lung cancer, extending survival by a median of four months compared to the standard treatment.
