Arkansas State University-Beebe has been selected for the eighth year of the Metallica Scholars Initiative, receiving a $50,000 grant to support its Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) program. This initiative, funded by
the rock band Metallica's charitable foundation, All Within My Hands, aims to support skilled trades education. ASU-Beebe is one of 93 colleges participating this year, marking its second selection for the program, with total support reaching $125,000. The grant will provide students with professional toolkits, removing financial barriers and ensuring they train with industry-standard equipment. The initiative, which began in 2019, has supported approximately 13,000 students in skilled trades and technical professions.
