Phillip 'Flip' John Molleson, a beloved member of the Carson City community, passed away peacefully on February 23rd. Born in Hayward, California, Molleson was a Vietnam War veteran who later settled in Carson City, Nevada, with his family in 1989. Known
for his passion for sports, he was an avid fan of the Raiders and San Francisco Giants and was actively involved in coaching bowling teams and base-coaching at Centennial Field during softball seasons. Molleson worked in manufacturing before transitioning to maintenance and eventually retired from the Carson City School District in 2020. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Pamela Molleson, and their three children, along with numerous family members and friends. A military memorial is planned for a future date, and his ashes will be spread on Mt. Shasta as per his wishes.
