A New Hampshire organization, formerly known as the Reproductive Freedom Fund of New Hampshire, has rebranded as the Live Free Autonomy Collective. This change reflects an expanded mission to serve more
people and offer a broader range of services, specifically including gender-affirming care. The collective has been providing reproductive health care since 2021 and gender-affirming care since 2023. The rebrand coincides with an effort to increase staffing, offer care across the state, and support more transgender residents, particularly in response to proposed restrictive laws and their impact on mental health. The organization has also increased community-building efforts through events. Since last year, the collective has hired additional staff, now operating with five full-time employees and one part-time North Country community organizer, enabling them to host events throughout the state and focus on local communities. Co-executive director Alissandra Rodriguez Murray stated that the new name, 'Live Free Autonomy Collective,' aims to reclaim 'Live Free' as a value, emphasizing personal freedom and the ability to make decisions about one's own body, which includes access to reproductive and gender-affirming care. The term 'collective' highlights the organization's volunteer-run nature and its collaboration with healthcare providers, donors, and patients to build systems of care.

Over $1,000 has been distributed in cash assistance since July, and the Trans Care Fund, formerly the Queer Care Fund, has donated over $50,000 to clinics serving more than 400 transgender individuals. The collective will also maintain its reproductive fund, an abortion funding network, and operate a Care Commons that offers free Plan B pills and other sexual health products with the help of over 100 community partners. Furthermore, the organization will continue fostering community through events like queer arm wrestling tournaments, which have seen significant participation. These ongoing efforts indicate a sustained commitment to providing comprehensive care and building supportive networks for reproductive and gender-affirming health in New Hampshire.
