through various means, including free or low-cost lesson plans, worksheets, hands-on science experiments, and a traveling program called 'PlastiVan.' These educational materials often emphasize the necessity and benefits of plastics while downplaying their negative impacts on human health and the environment. For instance, the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) offers lesson plans that include 'plastic scavenger hunts' to highlight the ubiquity and importance of plastics. Another example involves the American Association of Chemistry Teachers, an initiative of Dow Chemical Company, which provides lesson plans encouraging students to design plastic bags as if they were Dow employees.
