What's Happening?
Frasers Hospitality has announced the signing of Fraser Residence BKK1 in Phnom Penh, marking the brand's entry into Cambodia. Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, the serviced apartment will be located in the city's central business district. It will feature 83 units, including studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments, designed to cater to business travelers, expatriates, and long-stay guests. The property will offer a range of lifestyle and wellness amenities, such as a gym, sauna, steam room, yoga studio, and a children's playground.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of Frasers Hospitality into Cambodia signifies the growing demand for high-quality serviced apartments in Southeast Asia, driven by increasing business travel and expatriate communities. This move aligns with the region's economic growth and urban development, particularly in Phnom Penh's central business district. The introduction of wellness amenities reflects a broader industry trend towards incorporating health and lifestyle features in hospitality offerings, catering to the evolving preferences of modern travelers. This development could enhance Phnom Penh's appeal as a destination for international business and leisure travelers.
