Governor JB Pritzker has announced the launch of the Illinois Reproductive Health Care Hub, a new state website designed to centralize resources for individuals making decisions about their reproductive health. This online platform aims to provide comprehensive
information on accessing and paying for care, as well as informing patients about their rights in Illinois. The hub is intended to serve as a single point of access for evaluating healthcare options, connecting with providers, finding low-cost or free care pathways, and learning about birth control, abortion resources, and pregnancy and postpartum services. Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton noted that Illinois has become a destination for out-of-state patients seeking abortion care, with 1 in 4 such patients coming to the state. The initiative builds on previous efforts, including the Reproductive Health Records Privacy Act signed earlier this year, which protects sensitive medical information.
