What's Happening?
SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 29 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The launch took place at 12:58 a.m. EST on December 7, 2025. The rocket's second stage reached low Earth orbit approximately
nine minutes after liftoff, and the satellites were deployed about an hour later. The first stage of the rocket, completing its 12th flight, landed on the droneship 'Of Course I Still Love You' in the Pacific Ocean.
Why It's Important?
The launch is part of SpaceX's ongoing efforts to expand its Starlink satellite constellation, which aims to provide global internet coverage, especially in areas with limited connectivity. This expansion supports internet access in remote regions and enhances connectivity for commercial airliners and mobile providers. The successful deployment of these satellites underscores SpaceX's role in advancing global communication infrastructure and its impact on internet accessibility worldwide.
