What's Happening?
Military veterans in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, organized a continuous guard of honour at a local war memorial to commemorate Remembrance Sunday. The event was spearheaded by The Muster Point, a veterans'
support group co-founded by Stuart Mendelson, who served in the Army and lost his right eye in an IED blast in Afghanistan in 2009. The vigil began on Thursday morning and continued until early Sunday morning, providing veterans an opportunity to remember fallen comrades and those still struggling. The group also hosts weekly breakfasts to help veterans build confidence and access support for employment, housing, and mental health services.
