Glen Oaks Community College has announced updates to its certificate programs to better align with local job demands and provide students with more career options. The college has introduced new certificates
in computer support, machining and metrology, mechanized irrigation, and network management. Additionally, existing programs such as machining advanced and CNC technology have been revised, and the phlebotomy program has been reduced from 19 to nine credits. The Science A.S. degree has also received modifications. These changes are part of Glen Oaks' strategy to collaborate with area employers and prepare students for high-demand careers.
