from 6.0% in 2016 to 16.7% in 2023, the overall adoption is still low. The study analyzed insurance claims from over 391,000 Medicare patients diagnosed with various cancers between 2016 and 2023. It found that while genomic testing nearly tripled, next-generation sequencing grew modestly, reaching only about 2% by 2023. The study suggests that insurance coverage alone is insufficient to ensure widespread adoption of precision medicine.
