Farms to Grow, Inc. is organizing a virtual event titled 'Black History in Agriculture' to honor the contributions of Black farmers in America. Scheduled for February 22, the event will feature Mr. Will Scott Jr., an 85-year-old farmer and co-founder
of the African American Farmers of California, who has been instrumental in supporting Black farmers. The program will also include a screening of 'Rhythms of the Land,' a documentary by Dr. Gail Myers, highlighting the resilience and cultural contributions of Black farmers. This event aims to celebrate the agricultural heritage of Black communities and promote sustainable farming practices.
