Asia Pacific follows with $8.2 trillion, led by China and India, while Europe and the Middle East make up the remainder. A significant trend highlighted is that equipment will represent about 70% of data center capital expenditure, rising to 93% by 2050, fundamentally changing the nature of data centers as assets. This shift means that data centers will increasingly resemble equipment-heavy operations rather than traditional property businesses.
