The program aims to develop leadership skills and foster connections among emerging leaders in Southeast Kentucky.
Why It's Important?
This initiative is crucial for addressing workforce challenges in rural areas like Magoffin County. By providing leadership training and exposure to local economic efforts, the Patton Leadership Institute helps prepare future leaders to drive regional development. The TEK Center's focus on practical skills training is particularly significant, as it equips residents with the tools needed for employment in various industries, potentially reducing outmigration. Such programs are vital for sustaining local economies and ensuring that communities can adapt to changing economic landscapes.
