VINCI Airports has successfully completed the first phase of its modernization program in Cape Verde, marking a significant milestone in enhancing the country's airport infrastructure. This phase, which involved an €80 million investment, focused on improving
capacity, efficiency, and sustainability across several airports. Key upgrades included runway renovations, terminal modernizations, and the installation of solar power plants and advanced IT systems. The completion of this phase was celebrated in a ceremony attended by Cape Verde's Prime Minister José Ulisses Correia e Silva and other officials. Following this, VINCI Airports has launched a new €142 million expansion phase aimed at further boosting connectivity and sustainable operations. This next phase will include terminal expansions, new commercial areas, and additional environmental improvements.

Additional improvements will include waste treatment and wastewater processing facilities. The project is supported by a public-private partnership model, ensuring long-term investment stability.
