Mr. Willie Joe West, a lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia, passed away at the age of 86 on October 13, 2025. Born in Washington, Georgia, Mr. West began his service early by joining the Army Reserves
while still in high school, later enlisting in the U.S. Army. He dedicated over four decades to the banking industry, working with institutions such as Georgia Railroad and First Union. Mr. West is survived by his nephew Harvey West, his wife Carolyn, their three sons, his ex-wife Classie West, and stepdaughter Allison Samuels, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings.
