Agratas, the global battery business of Tata Group, has reached a significant milestone in the construction of its new battery factory in Bridgwater, Somerset. The completion of the steel frame for 'Building One' marks a key phase in the multi-billion-pound
project, which began in 2024. This facility is set to become the largest of its kind in the UK, focusing on the production of battery cells for automotive and energy storage solutions. The construction involved 23,000 tonnes of UK-sourced steel, equivalent to the amount used for Wembley Stadium, and engaged over 500 workers.
