What's Happening?
The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) participated in the 2025 United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) Annual Conference & Marketplace, held from December 1-5 at the Gaylord National Resort
& Convention Center in Maryland. Represented by Deputy Manager Vivek Jude, MPTB showcased the state's diverse tourism offerings, focusing on sustainable travel initiatives. The event, a significant gathering in the U.S. travel trade calendar, included over 150 USTOA tour operator members and 750 associate suppliers. MPTB engaged in B2B meetings and discussions to promote Madhya Pradesh's tourism circuits, which include heritage, wildlife, culture, spirituality, and eco-tourism. The board aims to align with global travel trends centered on responsible tourism and sustainability.
Why It's Important?
Madhya Pradesh's participation in the USTOA conference underscores its commitment to expanding its presence in international markets, particularly in North America. By promoting sustainable and culturally immersive travel experiences, the state aims to attract a growing segment of travelers interested in responsible tourism. This initiative not only enhances Madhya Pradesh's global visibility but also supports local economies by fostering long-term partnerships with international tour operators. The focus on sustainability aligns with global travel trends, potentially increasing the state's appeal to environmentally conscious travelers.
